An unconventional journey
Tony Meale is a Chicago-based author, ghostwriter, speaker, and coach who is passionate about helping people achieve their goals.
A former sportswriter, he resigned from his newspaper job during the financial crisis to author and publish “The Chosen Ones: The Team That Beat LeBron,” a sports nonfiction book about the only Ohio high school team to beat LeBron James. The book received national publicity and was sold at numerous bookstores, including Barnes & Noble. In 2022, Tony narrated a short film about the book that aired on ESPN on Selection Sunday.
Following the book launch, Tony began ghostwriting for individuals and companies throughout the United States. He produced content for people of all ages, genders, and ethnicities—entirely remotely—and provided coaching and thought leadership to individuals and executives seeking to build their brand and expand their business.
Tony has written for several former athletes, a university dean, a real estate mogul, and varied C-suite executives in law, finance, data analytics, mental health, and human resources, among other diverse fields. He has helped clients launch and grow businesses, increase their social media following, attract customers, build revenue streams, secure five-figure speaking engagements, and lead high-performing teams.
In 2021, after a decade of self-employment, Tony pivoted to Corporate America and leads executive communications for a Fortune 250, where he has written for four CEOs and more than a dozen EVPs. Last year, he launched a formal coaching practice offering 1:1 professional development sessions to help leaders with goal-setting and achievement.
Throughout his career, Tony has made a habit of evolving with the times, thinking outside the box, and taking calculated risks to advance his career—and he is dedicated to helping others do the same. Contact Tony to discuss your ghostwriting, speaking, and coaching needs.
